You will need a Null
Modem Cable
Downloading the Main software.
- Turn the receiver off and connect the cable to the computer
- Run the software
loader program
- Click on "File" yellow
folder
- Select the file then
click on OPEN
- You will see the
message "Verifying file, please wait"
- Select Download S/W radio button
- You need to set the
receiver in download mode. There are two
different ways to do so.
1. Turn the receiver on. Wait until it starts then
press the power button until you see --:-- on the
front panel. This is the preferred method.
2.Press
and hold the Power button on the front of the receiver
while turning the unit on from the rear via the toggle
switch. (This will be referred to as boot mode)
You should see "BOOT" on the front panel.
- Click on Start
- You will see the
progress bar. It should take approximately 2 minutes.
If you do not see a progress bar, check your setting
or your cable.
- Wait for download to
finish. You will see "-END" on the front panel
- Set the unit to
FACTORY DEFAULT by pressing Menu, Installation,
Factory Default, ALL (do not save setting).
If you do not set the unit to factory default, the
names of the satellites will not be correct.
- You must ENABLE the
patch software as follows
Exit all menu, Press the F1 key, the LED will display
'H', then press "000"
