Coolsat 6000

This section is specific for uses who own a Coolsat 6000 Premium.  If you own a different model, please do not use this software as it will most definitely harm your receiver and will render it inoperable
 

I. Firmware:

To download the software. Either click on the link then select SAVE, if you see a program listing instead of the SAVE window then Right Click on the link then select "Save Target As"

II. Loader Software.  Use to download MAIN bin

You will need Straight Through Cable
Unlike other receivers the Coolsats require a straight through cable NOT null modem cables. Do not waist your time with null modem cables ( I did).

Downloading the Main software.

  • Turn the receiver off and connect the cable to the computer
  • Run the software loader program
  • Set mode to SOFTWARE
  • Select TO RECEIVER radio button
  • Click on File
  • Select the file then click on OPEN
  • Click on Download
  • Turn the receiver ON
  • Watch the progress bar.
  • After the progress bar reaches 100, please WAIT. after few seconds, the progress bar will start counting again from 0 through 100 "Programming the flash memory". You will then see ---- and the receiver will reboot
  • Please make sure to wait until he receiver reboots.
