Coolsat 6100

This section is specific for uses who own a Coolsat 6100.  If you own a different model, please do not use this software as it will most definitely harm your receiver and will render it inoperable
 

I. Firmware:

To download the software. Either click on the link then select SAVE, if you see a program listing instead of the SAVE window then Right Click on the link then select "Save Target As"

II. Loader Software.  Use to download MAIN bin

This loader contains a Trojan Virus. There is no loader on the internet that does not contain a virus. It is best if you load the software using the USB port

You will need Straight Through Cable
Unlike other receivers the Coolsats require a straight through cable NOT null modem cables. Do not waist your time with null modem cables ( I did).

Downloading the Main software.

  • Turn the receiver off and connect the cable to the computer
  • Run the software loader program
  • Set mode to SOFTWARE
  • Select TO RECEIVER radio button
  • Click on File
  • Select the file then click on OPEN
  • Click on Download
  • Turn the receiver ON
  • Watch the progress bar.
  • Wait for download to finish. When finished you will see "END" on the front panel and the unit will reboot

How to download the software using USB

The software must be located in the root directory. No folders or subfolders

  • Select Menu

  • Utilities

  • Data Transfer

  • Data download from USB storage

  • Select File to download

  • Press RED button on the remote
